IIE Vega School of Design

Design problem:
The new IIE Vega campus in Pretoria will set a national benchmark that the Vega brand will embody. The new campus needs to enhance the user experience whilst understanding and incorporating Vega's colours and the playfulness with professionalism. Durable and easy-to-maintain materials should be used in different areas, being a reception, student activation area, passage, canteen and chill zone.
The Vega brand with the Vega V, the qualifications and a 'brag wall' should be incorporated.

Design solution:
The vibrant colour scheme merged with a calming industrial style. Exposed light bulb wall sconces, concrete and timber finishes. The space was transformed into a vibrant and engaging space with different work zones encouraging creativity and collaboration. Ceiling pendants, the reception desk and the coffee table were designed in the shape of the Vega V. Wall features were designed to communicate the Vega iconography and information about the degrees.
