Design problem:
The design brief stated a functional and inspiring workplace was to be designed by incorporating a brand identity. The large floorplan for the office building located in Sandton, could be divided into rentable spaces for the Interior Design Firm or could make use of the whole space.
The workplace must show the brands identity, reflecting its values, aesthetics and aims. The goals are to have a workplace that encourages efficiency, comfort, and creativity which is to be done through materials and furniture used within a well thought-out spatial layout.
Design solution:
The small Interior Design Firm is a space where employees can work from different work zones to inspire creativity and collaboration. Sustainability and being connected to nature inspired the neutral colours with an accent colour of navy, representing a bold Firm.
The open floorplan allows the different work spaces, the private booths, the collaboration tables and the desks to have their space whilst working together.
