Design problem:
A craft beer restaurant and microbrewery is to be designed that celebrates the visual identity of a well-known South African brand. It should be an immersive experience of the craft brewing.
The chosen brand ethos and aesthetic must integrate with the Interior Design, the menu and the beer bottle labels, creating a cohesive brand experience. A seating and eating space and a flexible multi-purpose space must be included and comply with the SANS10400 regulations, addressing fire protection, acoustics, lighting and ventilations standards.
A vibrant, immersive and functional space must engage the customers with the brand and the brewery.
Design solution:
The brand identity of Beacon Liquorice All Sorts seeps into the design solution through the menu and the unique colour scheme. The brewery tanks are visible upon entry, creating an interactive design. Following SANS10400 regulations ensures safe accessibility to all, with no blockages near the entrance or exits.
